2011 Rugby World Cup tickets

The first phases of ticket releases to  the general public are now over and a further release is expected to be made in mid 2011 depending on availability. Tickets already ordered are scheduled to be delivered in May.

Individual match tickets will be priced based on the venue. There are 4 or 5 categories for tickets depending on the venue. Ticket prices will vary widely. For example, a CAT A ticket for the opening game between New Zealand and Tonga at Eden Park, will cost NZ$460 - while the same category ticket for Fiji v Namibia the next day in Rotorua comes in at just NZ$72.

More details of Rugby World Cup ticket prices can be found here

Rugby World Cup tickets will be non transferable and must be purchased from an official source. Be aware that there are many fake sites selling tickets for the matches and if you turn up with an invalid ticket you will be turned away. You could also find yourself with no ticket at all and heavily out of pocket.

More info on official sales channels can be found here

Rugby World Cup packages can be purchased through the Official RWC Travel and Hospitality Programme here
